In the eyes of What Really Is,
Art is the thing itself.
It is the Nature of all things.
From it everything emerges and to it everything returns.

In Art, one can truly meet himself.
Let Art unfold your path and guide the way.

Playlist #3 | Sophie Calle | 3 videos

Artist Sophie Calle recounts her serendipitous path to becoming an artist, beginning with a chance stay at a photographer’s home in Bolinas, California, and an experimental visit to a cemetery with a camera.

Calle’s work is distinguished by its use of arbitrary sets of constraints, and evokes the French literary movement of the 1960s known as Oulipo. Her work frequently depicts human vulnerability, and examines identity and intimacy. She is recognized for her detective-like ability to follow strangers and investigate their private lives. Her photographic work often includes panels of text of her own writing.

A conversation about “self-burial” between artist Sophie Calle and a man without identity. In this video the two artists meet for the first time, to discuss an artistic idea which they have discovered that they share: arranging and attending your own funeral.
