Totality

Recommendation – How to read the words in the New Dictionary:

A word is a vessel through which essence, energy passes. The word is never the thing itself.

What is the real “thing”? It is good to answer this question in silence.

Therefore the invitation to this dictionary is “tricky”; it seems like it tries to replace one “definition” with another “definition” but it does not. This dictionary is an opportunity to look at a word from a different perspective than we are used to. And ask what is the essence of this word, coming from the mystery? From nature? From the inconceivable knowing that everything is one, everything is motion and I am a part of it?
From here you will find that the new “definition” sometimes sounds poetic or even irritating to the mind, because it cannot understand it. It’s OK. Let the words be a tool and listen to the energy that passes through them. That’s exactly what we came here to do.

Totality, coming out of the knowing that everything is connected and everything is in motion:

Totality is giving oneself over totally and completely. It means not seeking protection from anything. It mean being unafraid to feel pain.

Totality comes from love and an honest desire to know truth, to know things as they truly are.

The reality created: This type of totality does not seek control for the purpose of avoiding evil.

Rather, it comes from understanding that only when I complete giving myself can I “call to myself from outside of myself”.

That only when I say yes – fully and completely – will I discover myself, not through the mind or any perceived sense of order, but rather by directly experiencing life and the world. The mind stops being my main channel for experiencing reality. When totality takes over, all that is left is being.

“Calling to myself from outside of myself.”

It is living in the tension between, “I’m done, I don’t have what it takes, I wasn’t made from the right stuff” – and a deep inner knowing that remembers.

It is standing in this gap and not giving up, not leaving – but also not choosing to stay in what is old and known.

It is the only way to discover that I am eternal.

It is the only way to truly believe that I am eternal.

“If you give a little, it will cost a lot. If you give a lot, it will cost a little. And if you give everything, it will cost nothing.”

We usually think that Totality is completely demanding. It is forcefulness. It aims to be extreme. It is absolute, lacking movement or nuance. It denounces anything other than its own desired outcome. It asks that you completely nullify yourself. It assumes that if you have the energy to express any doubt, if you have the tools to think, deny or enact change, then you are dangerous and chaos will ensure. You will pose as an immediate threat. You will jeopardize the status quo and the results will be devastating.

The reality created: This understanding of totality creates a situation in which people are afraid to think.

It encourages extremism and fanaticism – both of which are suspicious of people and their free spirit. It silences anything that is not compatible with it. Anything not in line with it is perceived as a threat and immediately nipped in the bud.
